Angelicum College was founded on July 05, 1972 by the Dominican priest Fr. Rogelio Alarcon, O.P as the Angelicum School, housing 315 young boys on a six-classroom and one library facility. To meet the needs of its growing population, the institution began adding structures and by 1974, it started to accept girls. It also branched out into 2 other campuses in Iran and Iloilo but due to the religious conflicts in Iran, it was closed down in 1979.

The college is a unique learning institution that focused on individualized learning and process-oriented education. With its non-competitive grading system approach, Angelicum College offers different programs for its students. The Regular Program covers basic education program that is equivalent to a Nursery to Grade 12. Included in their regular programs is the Senior High School with offers different strands under the Academic and  Technical-Vocational Track. The Federation of Accrediting Agencies (FAAP) granted the school Level II on its basic education program.
