Baluan National High School (Baluan NHS) aims to produce learners who can hold their own future. With its current location, rural-urban, and its locale's main source of living, farming, the school emphasizes a bright tomorrow in the agricultural sector.
As one of the regionally recognized technical vocational school in General Santos City Division, Baluan NHS continues to widen its horizon in the agriculture sector. At present, the school is accredited by the Department of Agriculture – Region 12. More, the school was chosen as a recipient of the Student Field School for three years by the Office of City Agriculture through the help of the Agricultural Technology Institute Region 12.
Along with the said efforts, the school has achieved sixty percent National Competency Level II passers for Horticulture school year 2014-2015. And by the school year 2015-2016, it raised the bar by attaining one hundred percent with fifty-eight student passers and eighteen teacher-trainees for Agri-Crop Production National Competency Level II. PhilRice includes the school as one of the ten best implementers of the infomediary campaign on School Year 2016-2017.
