Medical Students

Requirements

Academic Requirements
Students applying for admission into the College of Medicine must be a holder of Bachelor’s degree in Science or Arts and should have earned credits in the following subjects which could either be within or in addition to the baccalaureate degree requirement: 1) Chemistry, 10 units; 2) Biological sciences 15 units; 3) Physics, 5 units; and 4) Mathematics 9 units.

National Medical Admission Test  (NMAT)
Student-Applicants must have taken and passed the National Medical Admission Test (NMAT) administered by the Center for Educational Measurement and not more than two years from the time of application.


Application Requirements
Freshmen
Applicants seeking admission into the College of Medicine must submit the following documents for  evaluation purposes:
  • Official Transcript of Records
  • NMAT result (ERF)
  • Interview schedule to be obtained from the Admissions Secretariat / Dean’s Office
  • (Optional) * PRC Board Rating certificate (for Entrance Scholarship only)
  • Application/Evaluation Fee of One Thousand Pesos (P1,000.00) non-refundable, payable at the Cashier’s Office, Teller 1.
Student-Transferee
  • Certified copy of the NMAT result
  • Certification of subjects taken and grades obtained from a medical school
  • Valid Student Visa, ICard, and passport bio-page for foreign students
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character from former professor / Dean
  • Application/Evaluation Fee of One Thousand Pesos (P1,000.00) non-refundable, payable at the Cashier’s Office, Teller 1.

Lyceum Northwestern University (LNU) is a private educational institution in Dagupan, Pangasinan founded in 1969 by Dr. Francisco Quimson Duque and Mrs. Florencia Tiongson Duque and started out as a single-room nursing school called the Dagupan City School of Nursing. By 1974, its name became Lyceum-Northwestern and it also opened more courses.

Now operating as a university, LNU offers a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate programs. Courses in Medical and Allied Health as well as in the fields of Business, Criminology, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Maritime Education, Engineering, and Arts are readily available to students who want to pursue their education in the institution. Also available is a senior high school program with Academic, Sports, and TVL strands. 

Lyceum Northwestern University is officially recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Department of Education (DepEd). It also has a Level II accreditation status from the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) for its Biology, Education, Business and Psychology programs.
