Admission Requirements and Procedures - Foreign Students

Requirements

The admission of Foreign students is subject to existing regulations of the Commision on Higher Education (CHED) and other requirements here in after provided. 

1. A foreign student will be admitted for enrolment only upon presentation of Student Visa (9-F Visa) which comprises the following documents: 
  • Letter of Acceptance from the school of his/her choice.
  • Five (5) copies of the 1998 Revised Original Personal History Statement (PHS), duly accomplished and signed by the applicant in English and in national alphabet, accompanied by personal seal, if any, original left and right hand prints on PHS and original photos.
  • Transcript of Records/Scholastic Records duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy or Consulate in the applicant's country of origin or legal residence. "Seen and Noted" stamp is not acceptable.
  • Xerox copy of Passport pages where name, photo, birthplace appear. 

2. Foreign students coming from non-English speaking countries are required to take special courses in English for proficiency in the language which is the medium of instruction in this University. 
3. Foreign students have to pay the Acceptance and Foreign Students fee as per DECS Order No. 24 s. 1989.

Admission Requirements and Procedures - Undergraduate

Requirements

Freshmen

Proceed to the Guidance Center for the Entrance Examination. 

1. If you pass the examination, go to the Registrar's Office and fill up a Student Information Form (SIF) for your Student Number and submit the following: 
 
  • Form 138.
  • Certification of Good Moral Character from your school of origin.
  • Result of Entrance Examination.
  • Three (3) pcs 2x2 picture.

2. Proceed to the Dean's Office of the school chosen for advising. 
3. Fill up the Student Enrollment Form (SEF) and have it checked and approved by your adviser. 
4. Proceed to the MIS Department for assessment. 
5. Pay your tuition and other fees at the Treasurer's Office and only to tellers on duty. 
6. After payment of fees, proceed to the MIS Department for the Student ID. 
7. To apply for a library ID, go to the South Building (MLQU Diliman Library)


Transferees

1. Go to the Dean's Office of the school of your choice for interview.
2. If you pass the interview, proceed to the Admission Office for the entrance examination.
3. If you pass the examination, go to the Registrar's Office and fill up Student Information Form (SIF) for your Student Number and submit the following: 
 
  • Honorable Dismissal or Transfer Credentials from your school of origin.
  • Certification of Good Moral Character from the aforementioned school.
  • Scholastic Records for evaluation purposes.
  • Three (3) pcs 2x2 picture.

4. Proceed to the MIS Department for assessment. 
5. Pay your tuition and other fees at the Treasurer's Office and only to tellers on duty. 
6. After payment of fees, proceed to the MIS Department for the Student ID. 
7. To apply for a library ID, go to the South Building (MLQU Diliman Library)

Admission Requirements and Procedures - Graduate Students & Government Employees)

Requirements

1. Go to the Registrar's Office for your Student Number and ID Card Form and submit the following: 
  • If you are enrolling in a Masters program, a copy of the transcript records of your bachelor's degree which indicates the SO (Special Order) number for that degree. If you are enrolling in a Doctoral program, a copy of the transcript of records of your Masters degree with the SO number clearly indicated.
  • Government employees, including teachers, are required to submit a Permit to Study from their immediate superiors.

2. Proceed to the Dean's Office of the school chosen for advising. 
3. Fill up the Student Enrollment Form (SEF) and have it checked and approved by your adviser. 
4. Proceed to the MIS Department for assessment. 
5. Pay your tuition and other fees at the Treasurer's Office and only to tellers on duty. 
6. After payment of fees, proceed to the MIS Department for the Student ID.

Admission Requirements - Senior High School

Requirements

1. Interview with the Principal. 
2. Take the Assessment Examination at the Guidance Center. 
3. Submit the following Pertinent Documents: 
 
  • Form 138 or High School Card duly signed by the School Principal.
  • PSA Birth Certificate (Original & Xerox).
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character from previous school signed by the Guidance Counselor/Principal.
  • Accomplished student enrollment application form.
  • Two (2) pcs 2x2 picture.

4. Payment of Tuition and Other Fees at Treasurer's Office.

Manuel L. Quezon University (MLQU) is a private university founded in 1947 by Justice Carmelino G. Alvendia, Atty. Manuel O. Chan, Dr.Anselmo S. Claudio, Justice Arsenio P. Dizon, Dr. Leoncio B. Monzon, Justice Jose B.L. Reyes, and then Philippine Senator Lorenzo M. Tañada offering classes in Law. Its first name was Manuel L. Quezon Educational Institution and received its university status in 1958.

At present, Manuel L. Quezon University offers academic programs in kindergarten, grade school, junior high school and senior high school. It also has programs in undergraduate and graduate studies under the schools of Accountancy, Business and Real Estate, Architecture, Criminal Justice, Engineering and Information Technology, and Law.
