Qualifications
  • Performance in the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT)
  • Weighted average of final grades obtained in high school
  • Choice of U.P. college/unit
  • Qualification for college admission through the National College Entrance Examination (NCEE)

Transferees from Other UP Constituent Universities
  • Must have a general weighted average of at least 2.25 if applicant is from an undergraduate program within the UP System that does not fall under any of the three programs offered by UPDEPP;
  • For applicants from other CUs who are psychology, business management, or economics majors, have an average of at least 2.00 in their major subjects and at least 2.25 in their other subjects;
  • Must pass an interview with the Program Secretary, Program Coordinator, and faculty of the program being applied for
  • Submit other requirements such as two letters of recommendations from former instructors, official transcript of records, college clearance, and permit to transfer.
Transferring from Other Universities
 
Students with previous college work from another university who want to transfer to UPDEPP must satisfy the following admission requirements:
  • Have completed at least 33 academic units.
  • Have a general weighted average of 2.0 if applicant is from any one of the prestigious universities in Metro Manila and 1.75 if applicant is from any other CHED-recognized university.
  • Depending on whether the applicants are psychology, business management, or economics majors, have an average of at least 2.0 in their major subjects and at least 2.25 in their other subjects.
  • Submit other admission requirements such as two letters of recommendations from former instructors, official transcript of records, college clearance, and permit to transfer.

University of the Philippines Diliman Extension Program in Pampanga (UPDEPP) is part of the University of the Philippines (UP) system. It is administered by the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) in Quezon City.

UPDEPP offers undergraduate programs such as BS Business Management, BA Business Economics, and BA Applied Psychology as well as the graduate program, Master of Management (MM) program (non-thesis). Short-term training courses are also offered depending on the needs of the communities.

Through the research and development of UPDEPP, improvements on cultural tourism and rural areas of Central Luzon region has been made. In coordination with the Clark Development Corporation (CDC), the school has launched the Ayta Studies Center that seeks to promote an understanding of the Aeta culture. The school also launched Tuglung, a way to revive the Kapampangans’ literary art. Moreover, as UPDEPP is located in the country’s food-producing region, the school also provides assistance to farmers and fishermen residing in the area.
