University of Adelaide was founded 143 years ago and is the first university in Australia. Upon its foundation, its goal, for South Australia was to develop young leaders shaped by education rather than wealth in a community free of of the inequalities set by society and religion. Nobel prize awardees, Sir William Lawrence Bragg, Sir Howard Walter Florey and John Robin Warren were all graduates of University of Adelaide.
