Leadership Studies is a multidisciplinary academic field of study that focuses on leadership in organizational contexts and in human life. Leadership studies traces its origins in the social sciences (e.g., sociology, anthropology, psychology), in humanities (e.g., history and philosophy), as well as in professional and applied fields of study (e.g., management and education). It looks into leadership theories and concepts that bridge scholarship and practice in an increasingly complex world.

PhD LEADS seeks to look at theory, practice and research, in terms of the person of the leader and the transformation of business organizations, such as corporations, business entrepreneurships, or social entrepreneurships. The program develops scientist-practitioners who can build knowledge, theory and practice on Asian and Philippine leadership. It offers two tracks or specializations: (1)Business Leadership and (2) Organizational Development.
